Closure Styles for Keeper Hidden Prong Collars

The following short video shows the different types of closures that we offer on Keeper hidden prong and Keeper flat collars.

Keeper Flat Martingale Collars

The first of our martingale style collars is the Keeper Style . It uses the same tug design as the Keeper Hidden Prong collar with a sliding metal double ring that allows you to change how far the martingale can loosen. Martingale collars come with or without a plastic snap buckle. If you order a collar without a snap buckle, be sure that it will be able to slide over the widest part of the dog's head.

The second martingale style is the Loop Martingale . This is a more traditional martingale design with a loop of nylon webbing with no adjustment slide as in the Keeper Style martingale. Because there is no adjustment slide, we can include matching ribbon on the loop. Loop style martingales can be ordered with and without a snap buckle. If you order a collar without a snap buckle, be sure that it will slide over the widest part of the dog's head.

The third martingale style is the Vegas Style.  This is a limited slip design that features a tug that pulls in one direction rather than from the center.  Vegas Style collars feature a matching ribbon on the tug.  The Vegas Style can be ordered with or without a snap buckle.  There is no size adjustment to the Vegas Style collar so if you order a collar without a snap buckle, be sure that it will slide over the widest part of the dog's head.

Keeper Lure Coursing Collar and Lead Combination

We have one more specialty collar which is actually a collar and lead combination.  The Lure Coursing Collar is specially designed for use at lure coursing trials.  When lure coursing, the dog is not allowed to wear a collar for safety reasons so this collar and lead combination makes it easy to walk your dog up to the starting line and hold your dog as you wait for the start.  Then, by just releasing one loop of the lead, the collar and lead drop away as the dog takes off after the lure.  These come either leather lined or lined with genuine shearling.  Both versions use 1 1/2 inch wide web for the collar portion.
